National Statistics Office of Georgia published the express data about foreign trade.
According to Geostat, foreign trade turnover amounted to 3 860.1 million USD in January April period of 2019, which is more by 2.3% compared to the indicator from the same period of 2018.
From this data, export amounted to 1 133.4 million USD (17.9% increase), whereas import to 2 726.7 million USD (3.1% decrease).
In the same period, negative trade balance amounted to 1 593.3 million USD and contributed to 41.3% of foreign trade turnover.
More specific data about the foreign trade turnover will be published on May 20.
