The Business’ Trust in the Judiciary Has Declined " – states the president of Business Association of Georgia, George Chirakadze in relation to the recent developments..

He told Sakmis Kursi, that one of the major issues discussed at the meeting between the Business and Minister of Finance Dimitri Kumsishvili was the problems in the judiciary system. George Chirakadze said that the Minister is ready to discuss these problems with business on an individual basis.

"In fact, recently we have witnessed many inadequate court rulings with regards to business. This inadequacy certainly affects the confidence in judiciary and our trust to the system has declined. We hope that the reason behind these problems are technical or of other kind. However, there are court rulings that impose huge fines of hundreds of millions on companies, also, many cases are delayed in time. We find it very important that court makes clear and professional decisions – told George Chirakadze to "Sakmis Kursi".

We remind you that Tbilisi City Court imposed a fine of about 90 million Gel on international producers of tobacco British American Tobacco and Philip Morris.
