The orange harvest in Georgia is entering an active phase. According to the Ministry of Agriculture, during the period of 1-11 November 2017 55 tons of citrus were exported from Georgia, whereas during the same period in 2018 610 tons were exported. According to data by the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, this year’s citrus export compared to the same period last year is 6 times higher. From 1 September to 11 November 2018, citrus export reached 718 tons - during the same period last year the export was 106 tons.
