"Produce in Georgia program has supported 5 313 regional projects with a total investment value of 50 MLN GEL so far" noted Mamuka Bakhtadze, Prime Minister of Georgia at the Press Briefing held prior to the Executive Government Meeting today.
As noted by the Head of Government of Georgia, almost 8 412 beneficiaries have been co-financed with 22 949 474 GEL within the program.
"Support of micro and small enterprises has been provided by the Government of Georgia since 2015 through Produce in Georgia. This program has been particularly vital in regions. You may well be aware that one of the key priorities of our government is to ensure an equitable development of our regions, inclusive economic growth to be felt by each individual citizen" noted the Prime Minister of Georgia.
In the opinion of the Head of Government of Georgia, 917 winners have been announced for micro grant financing in the current year and they will be co-financed with 8 300 000 GEL by the end of the year.
"It is particularly gratifying for me that 45 per cent of the winning applicants are female entrepreneurs. Overall, if we review the performance in the current year, 6 230 projects have been financed, while co-financing has exceeded 47 MLN GEL" concluded the Prime Minister of Georgia.
