Only 5,5% of vehicles registered in Georgia are insured. According to Insurance State Supervision Service of Georgia, in Q1 2018, total of 71 thousand active car insurance policies were registered, which is 15 888 policies more than in Q1 2017.
Total amount generated by companies from land transport insurance segment is 24,7 mln GEL. 21% of the income is the portion of Aldagi, 18% - TBC Insurance and 15% - GPI Holding. The remaining 46% is distributed over 14 insurance companies.
