“When we discuss the future of Europe and Digital Europe at the European Parliament, this is a wonderful opportunity to discuss these issues with Georgia, because we need to discuss both these issues at the same time, if we don’t want Georgia to lagging behind,” – the Member of the European Parliament, Michał Jan Boni stated when participating at EuroDIG 2018 – European Dialogue on Internet Governance, held in Tbilisi.
Michał Jan Boni stated that there are number of issues which can be discussed at the European Parliament in order to facilitate Georgia’s digital development and to involve certain supporting mechanisms. “We are talking about Digital Europe and I think that this is also an occasion to discuss how advanced Georgia is starting with digital economy, accessibility of infrastructure, of networks and also starting with e-governance solutions. I suppose we should also discuss in the European Parliament on the ways how we can support Georgia in the digital development,” – Boni noted.
