"Always remember that the future of this country is in your hands," Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze addressed the young participants of the Tbilisi Student Festival 2018.

The Head of Government thanked the event's organizers and emphasized the energy of youth as the driving force behind the development of any country in the 21st century.

"It is especially important to me to ensure that we all and every young person everywhere to feel that the future of this country is in their hands. Georgia needs youth to be actively engaged in every aspect of social life. Georgia needs a youthful vision of prospects of the country's development, ways to solve problems and adopt innovations. This is exactly why youth and innovation are our key priorities. This is exactly why we strongly believe that our youth, their self-confidence, will surely guarantee Georgia's transformation into a unified, strong European state. At the same time, I have trust in our people and the special talent of our youth, which leads me to believe that the solution to the problems facing Georgia lies within a successfully reformed educational system. We need more investments in our young scientists, in our universities, to ensure Georgia's success. In the implementation of this reform, we are counting on your support, of course, and that should pave the way for the country's stable development in the decades to come," the Prime Minister said.

Mamuka Bakhtadze placed special emphasis on the importance of promoting sports and a healthy lifestyle, pointing out that access to sports will be put in place for adolescents and youth in every region of Georgia.

"In conclusion, I would like to reiterate what I said at the beginning. Always remember that the future of this country is in your hands," the Prime Minister addressed the youth.

The Prime Minister, together with Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze, participated in the closing ceremony of the Tbilisi Student Festival 2018.

More than 30,000 students of the capital's 23 state and private schools of higher education participated in the festival and its large-scale athletic and cultural events.
