From January to October 2018 revenues from tourism in Georgia amounted to 2 billion 817 million USD (+19.9% growth), which is an increase by 468 million compared to the previous year. In addition, based on I-II quarter of 2018, revenues generated from tourism amounted to 1,361 million dollars (+28.9% growth) i.e. increase by 305 million compared to the same period last year. According to 2017 data, Georgia generated 2.7 billion (2,704,339,872) dollars (28.1% growth) from international tourism, which is an increase of 594 million dollars compared to the previous year. For reference, based on the I-II quarter of 2018, tourism amounted to 7.1% of the GDP marking a +17.2% growth compared to the previous year. Based on the 2017 data, the contribution of tourism to GDP came to 6.8%. The growth came to +11.5% compared to the previous year. Throughout the 11 months of 2018, over 8 million international visits took place in Georgia.
