Total bank loan portfolio increased by 15.7% YoY in February 2019, excluding FX effect.

From the segments perspective, corporate, MSME and retail loans increased by 14.3%, 23.3% and 13.2% YoY, respectively. Growth in the MSME loans accelerated further while the corporate loan growth moderated following the above trend growth in 2018. Some part of MSME lending acceleration may reflect the increase of credit in micro segment for individual borrowers (households) having income from business activities. Previously, part of this segment was classified as non-mortgage retail lending.

Retail loan growth continues to slow reflecting the regulation introduced back in May 2018 as well as the new regulations that came in force starting from January 2019.

Mortgage debt growth remained solid at 32.5% in February, but continues to moderate reflecting the impact of new regulations. Non-mortgage loan growth also decelerated further and increased only marginally by 0.3% YoY over the same period.
